“Ghodi Ke Geet” is one of the ceremonies of a Marwari wedding which takes place at groom’s side. This card is specially designed to showcase the essence of this ceremony. Harmonium shape depicts the soul of the function i.e. “Music”. “Mare Eating Chanaa Daal” : A true depiction of “Ghodi Ke Geet”. It is made by using brown textured handmade sheet. A Harmonium panel is first designed using Microsoft Powerpoint. Handmade sheet is then cut according to the size of that top panel. The card is given a box shape which opens up to view the printed invite. Mare is cut from an offwhite mill-made sheet which is then decorated using orange handmade sheet and decorative crystal stickers. It is pasted in a standing position using SH Fevicol. A strip of off white sheet is pasted in a round fashion to give a bowl kind of look. Few pieces of “Chanaa Daal” is put inside this bowl and pasted using Fevibond. Harmonium flap is made by fan-folding a piece of brown handmade sheet. It is stapled with the cover of the box.
